Watch Street Morning — Elgin, IL

from $195.00

This Watch Street ornate home literally glows as the sun hits it in the morning in Elgin, Illinois. The house is seen in this black-and-white photograph peeping above the wall of evergreens planted in front of the house, hiding most of it from the street. Watch street is also the location of the Elgin Watch Company Observatory, which was used to make accurate evaluations of time by which the company’s watches were calibrated. This is where the name Watch street originated.
